      Not the Right Bank for a Mortgage If You Want Good Customer Service We worked with Ted M. to arrange a mortgage for a house we bought in Shawsville. On two separate occasions, one in-person and one via email, I told Mr. M that we wanted to pay our insurance and taxes ourselves and not to have those escrowed. He said sure, not a problem, but each set of documents came back to us showing the opposite. On the day of closing the documents were still wrong and we were forced to sign them in order to close on that day. I contacted Mr. M with Atlantic Union Bank about the issue after the closing by email. Again, he told me it would be fixed. He fixed it alright...by selling our mortgage to PHH mortgage, another lender. If you are looking for good customer service for your mortgage loan, I do not recommend Atlantic Union Bank.

      I've banked with Atlantic Union since they were FNB and I've found their customer service and product variety to be top-notch.
