I was contacted by Auburn Volkswagen through Kelly Blue Book because I was checking to see what the trade in value was. A salesman asked when I could come down so that they could give me a quote for my car. He seemed snarky through his texts and when I stated that I was going to list my car privately first (and mentioned the high end of trade-in value), he said “well that’s the retail price so we are unable to match that GOOD LUCK getting that ****!” The price is what he was being unkind about. It is no where near the retail price because I have been watching and seeing what they are selling for. Who knows if I get anywhere near this but either way, he didn’t have to be so unkind. Bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn’t buy or sell to them at this point.
