      This bank is so good that I've decided to keep them even though I'm currently 1850 miles away in Sugar Land, TX. Ben, Angie, I'm sorry to those who I'm forgetting but the whole staff is amazing. Always a smile, know who you are by name and are extremely helpful, polite and accommodating. The bank itself won't nickel and dime transactions, fee, etc.

      I am writing this review mainly in response to the negative review below. I have been a customer at BankNewport for about 5 months. I opened my account at the branch in East Greenwich and they were very responsive to my situation at the time and receptive to my unique business banking needs. And, as a matter of fact, Ben was the bank representative that helped me at the time. Every time that I am in that bank, the employees are very friendly. I receive a much more personal experience with BankNewport than with any other bank that I’ve worked with in the past. This is why I was very surprised to see the negative review with the branch, especially since it singled out Ben. My thought is to take a person’s single “horrible” interaction over the phone with a grain of salt and to not let that stop you from trying them out. I am happy with BankNewport, happy with each of the branches that I have visited, and happy with with all of the employees customer service. And, as a bonus, you’re helping out a local business rather than a giant corporate bank.
