      Here to also echo the sentiments of a lack of professionalism and a lack of responsiveness. With the help of Barbera & Barbera, we filed my late grandmother's (who was a longtime client of theirs, by the way) personal tax returns well over a year ago. Arthur Barbera did great with that and was efficient. BUT then that's about where the quality stops. I know the IRS is incredibly busy, but Arthur had assured me multiple times that he would contact them and look into the status of the returns. Look, I get it. You're busy, and the IRS is slammed. That's all fine and understandable. But don't tell me you're going to get back to me when you STILL HAVENT AFTER A MONTH and clearly have no intention of doing so! Oh, and his fantastic receptionist acts exasperated and frustrated anytime I call and immediately says "he's not in the office" when I call to check once a week. At least be honest with me and say you're slammed and you can't get back to me. Of course, I'd be willing to compensate for their time or even do the legwork myself if someone spent 10 mins on the phone with me leading me to where I need to go. I guess that's 10 minutes no one at Barbera & Barbera can spare over the span of a month. My family and I have been waiting on these returns to close out my grandmother's estate and I can't get any sort of update from these people. I don't know if hasn't come back because the IRS is simply busy, or if there was an error and I need to refile. Unbelievable.

      Had a very unprofessional experience with Barbara. Was in need of a k-1 document in order to file my taxes. A document that takes 10 minutes to prepare. The information was sent in with a month to create. With one week left before the tax deadline I called in everyday and sent 3 emails requesting the document. I never heard back from the secretary or Arthur himself. Yesterday taxes were due and still have yet to receive this simple document and had to file for an extension. The lack of responsiveness and professionalism is unacceptable.
