  Closed on our home on September 10th. Although a few delays did happen, I couldn't be happier as a veteran constantly being turn down by "veterans united" because of my 590 credit score, Barclay and ashtar did so much to assure that I close on my house. Once you understand that Barclay is not the lender, he's the middle man assuring that you say the right things, the delay seems understandable. Thanks for your help

  Buyers beware! This is one of the most unethical and dishonest companies you could ever do business with. Do your own research and pull up this company online and you will be shocked at what you find. Things like being fined by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation for not having properly licensed loan originators and failing to register them timely. The back story of this company is just the icing on the cake because I can't adequately explain how terrible it was to work with them. They made this such a miserable process for my family and I. From the "loan processors" who never had any idea what was going on and would go days without calling me back to Barclay Butler himself getting on the phone to contradict his employees and yell at me like I was his child. It was honestly one of the strangest things I have ever witnessed in my entire life. There were numerous times where my family and I had genuine concerns that this was not a legitimate company. It always seemed like they were mad at us for having so many questions or even if you just wanted to understand a little more about what was going on. After doing more research online I immediately educated myself and found out that Barclay Butler Financial is not a direct lender, they are just a middle-man who charges you an astronomical finders fee for finding you a real lender willing to take on your loan which we found out the hard way can easily be done without using Barclay Butler Financial. We did everything they asked, and we always got it back to them in the same day, but then they would go silent for days. One time we called in around 9:30 maybe a little after. A "loan processor" named Victoria told us it was still early and she hadn't checked any files yet and she would "after coffee." I was irate. It was almost 10am!? There was never any communication. They constantly changed the conditions of the loan without any explanation or call back. There was always a constant lack of transparency as well. First they wanted 3 months worth of mortgage payments and 5% down, next it randomly jumped to 6 months of mortgage payments up front and 15% down with no explanation and not a single thing that changed about our finances. Just a very odd and peculiar situation that I wish we never found ourselves to be in. I found Barclay Butler to be a very misleading and dishonest man. My family and I work hard for everything we have and it's undeniable that his predatory tactics prevented us from realizing what we were getting into. Luckily, we were able to do the entire process without him and obtain a far better loan without paying him a years worth of your salary as a finders fee. Please protect your home, your money, and your family and choose literally anyone else besides Barclay Butler Financial.

  I have no idea who this person is. I have never tried to do a loan for a Tyler Van Voorthuijsen what is your real name so I can look you up in my system, and find out if you are legit.

  They finally called me back and asked why I called them in the first place if I was having someone else helping me too. So rude never do business with these people
