  Everything from the start of the loan process to closing was so smooth. Bart & his team were so quick to respond to any questions i had & went above & beyond to close the house in 3 weeks which is amazing. Thanks Bart & team for such a great job & help us secure our dream home

  Working with Bay Equity was quite literally the worst experience we have ever had with a lender. My husband and I were first time home buyers relocating to another state and we chose Bay Equity because our realtor referred them. The start of the process was great, and we loved the initial loan officer we were working with. We got our pre approval, found a home that we wanted and began the process to purchase. A couple of weeks later our loan officer informed us that she, her manager, and some other colleagues had left the branch and company completely. This turn of events led to a downward spiral of confusion, horrible communication, wasted time, wasted money, and delay after delay for us to close. We spoke with the new loan officer over our file (Jessica) on the phone 1 time and never spoke with her on the phone again (she wouldn’t return our calls and only responded to emails), and that was the case for every point of contact that we had at the branch (managers, loan processor included, no one answered or called us back, they only emailed us). They completely stopped communicating with our realtor as well, so we were completely in the dark on things until usually the last minute. Our closing date was pushed back 3 times over the course of a month, and we wouldn’t find out until like the day before, because on a few different occasions, they would wait until a day or two before our closing dates to inform us of brand new items they needed (although they were aware that they needed said items in advance). This was extremely frustrating and a major headache because we would try to have flights and moving arrangements lined up and we would have to cancel or change things completely. We did not end up closing on a home that we loved for our growing family. After all of the ridiculous things we experienced and loss of our earnest money as a result of the aweful communication and negligence of the staff at Bay Equity not one person from their company made an effort to own up to the fact that our closing fell through as a result of their mishandling of our file. Needless to say I would absolutely NEVER recommend that anyone looking to purchase a home choose Bay Equity (particularly this branch) as your lender.
