  Love this bank! Employees go above and beyond for their customers. Their online banking is super easy to navigate and offers endless functionality that makes banking so much more convenient. I love that when I call in, I get a human instead of a robot or going through an automated system. I would recommend this bank to friends and family.

  This was the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I am an out of state attorney with my own law firm planning to relocate to Plano. A colleague of mine recommended this bank. About a week before a trip to Plano, I called the bank and asked the business banker if I could have all the documents prepared beforehand to minimize the time I would need to be at the branch. We set an appointment for Wednesday at 9. He said he would send the documents by email for me to complete and return. I had to call and remind him to send the documents. No problem, it happens. I submitted the documents back that same day. On Wednesday, I showed up at the branch. He looked at me and apologized. The business banker and his partner had nothing completed. At least he told me the truth and said they forgot. He asked me if I could come back the next day. I said no I am leaving town, we discussed this and that's why I set the appointment this morning. He then asked me if I would come back the next time I am in town. I said no. He said he could Fedex me the documents to my office out of state and I would receive it the next day. As you can imagine, I never received the documents. I called the branch today and spoke with the Manager. It appears the documents were never even sent. The Manager offered to start the whole process again. I never write online reviews, but when dealing with Law Firm Business and Trust Accounts, everything has to be 100% per state law and ethical rule. If it is this difficult to open an account and the customer service is so poor, allowing this bank to manage these types accounts is downright scary.

  I would avoid banking with this FI. There's no way to easily contact the bank outside of phone or in-person, and office hours are comically short with no weekend hours. So plan to take time off work any time you want to try addressing any issues. Online banking site is buggy with broken links and no option to order a replacement card (or report one lost/stolen). Reply to company message: I do not go TO the bank branch (see my review regarding terrible business hours/availability—you open after I start work and close before I get off). I have an account simply because this is the bank my employer chose to manage HSAs. I am trying (struggling) to transfer my balance elsewhere. No, there is no support chat option on benchmarkbank.com—if there is, it's buried. Every contact and Q&A option I find points me directly back to phone. You can *request* an email... but that invariably loops back to telling the client to call in by phone. Without a serious overhaul to modernize the online interface/features (and better hours), I simply cannot recommend banking with Benchmark.
