  I've been with them since they entered the Syracuse area. As far as checking and savings accounts it's a good deal. The only issue I have is their atms are only free at their few and far between atms.

  No matter what it is... I always seem to have a nightmare dealing with Berkshire when I have an issue. #frustrating checking accounts get closed without notice, documentation requests must be hard copy and snail-mailed; causing what could be a simple electronic change to take weeks/months sometimes! letters I get in the mail are already 2 weeks old before they even get to me...

  If I could give zero stars I would. I received a letter verifying that the automatic debit that occurs monthly for my mortgage needed to be verified as being “good” and current. So my husband and I signed the letter mailed it back in the envelope provided. A couple of weeks later I get another letter… the same letter… so we signed again and mailed again in the same envelope given … a third letter arrives same request except now threatening to discontinue because they haven’t received our letter… I send that letter back again and now I received that they haven’t heard from us so they will turn off automatic debit and I will have to make the next payment to another address…. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever seen … I pay my mortgage on time and never took a break like others did thru the pandemic and this is what you do … yeah I will be looking to Chase to take over my mortgage since everything else I have is with them Berkshire Hathaway Bank is the worst bank… making Bank of America and Wells Fargo look amazing!
