  I have been banking with bmo for almost a year and I have never had any issues with them until today. I usually go to the Plymouth branch but I work in Sheboygan. I stopped at the Sheboygan location today to cash a check. The check is post dated 1 day. (Tomorrow) the teller tells me that they cannot deposit my check because of that reason & that it is illegal for them to do so. Even though I have gone there, Plymouth, & the Sheb Falls BMO and they have deposited checks of mine up to 2 days early!! The teller seemed very short with me and told me “I could do whatever I wanted with my check the date of but not today.” Either they have the wrong people working that are depositing checks earlier than dated or this girl simply just did not want to deposit my check.

  If you cash your check they hold it against your account if you deposit your check it takes days to get it put in the account. Are not open at right times they should be

  EDIT: I provided my information and they never responded! Would give them 0 stars if I could. They refused to cash a check from Heights Finance, the check is drafted from BMO Harris and I have cashed them there before. I honestly don't understand how you can refuse to cash a check when it is from that very bank. I could understand if it was drafted from a different bank, but the reason I went there was because that is the bank the check was from.
