  After promising I'd invest and manage it myself for years, reality was finally accepted, and I contacted Ryne Vickery. Following an initial email, he promptly set up a Zoom meeting for a quick discussion of how everything worked and what I was looking to accomplish. I provided him with all requested financial information and he developed a comprehensive presentation of what was needed to reach future goals. He made the process easy to manage and get all accounts set up with the ability to transfer in and out of various accounts. He was also able to manage some of my legacy 401k's. Bottom line is that communication has been great, and at no time was I made to feel like a second class citizen for any reason. Everyone I interacted with at Buckingham was a world-class professional.

  Had a nice conversation with a director for client development. When I said I'd like to proceed he told me an advisor would contact me by the end of the next day. A week later there has been no contact. Not sure if I'm not rich enough or what (I'm slightly under their recommended amount but close enough that I'll be over within a year). I would have been fine if they told me they wouldn't\couldn't take me on as a client but to just say they would and then never contact is ridiculous. Even if there was just a mix up with the hand off to the advisor I would expect a follow up from the original person I spoke with to make sure things were proceeding; any well run business would do something of the sort. All of my friends and colleagues are in a similar situation with rapidly growing retirement accounts and I'll be sure to direct them away. If a company is this unprofessional with potential new clients how will they treat you if they already have your money?
