  Very poor customer service in the East Setauket branch if you need to conduct business other than making a deposit or withdrawal at the teller. The people behind the desks stare at you, hoping someone else will call you. They will leave you sitting in those chairs forever if you don’t keep looking at them to remind them you’re waiting. I recommend going to another chase.

  I noticed all the good reviews for this branch were made a year or more ago, which makes me think the branch must have gone completely downhill since, because they truly serve no purpose at all, outside of going to the teller, and in today's world filled with ATM machines, you don't even need (a slow) teller because most transactions can be done via the ATM. My husband and I have gone into this bank many times and the bankers are never there, ( like never) they are at lunch, or with customers for an exuberant amount of time or just not there ... It's so weird! They move at a snail's pace--It's almost like they are getting paid to do as little work as possible so I question why it's even open. A machine would suffice FOR SURE at this location! No need to have people there, simply place them in another branch with better managers because as of now they serve no purpose whatsoever. I don't know if Chase corporate do a round of checks on their branches, but I would suggest they do so incognito, I am sure they will find a lot of wasted time and foolishness going on!! I have been a Chase customer for over 15 years and I actually use to work for Chase...and I don't recall the branches being this bad. I guess nothing last forever--unfortunately. :(
