      My brother and I headed into the bank because he needed to pay off his car lease. We were given instructions from Chase over the phone to have the payment processed overnight at a branch. When he arrived at the branch, he told Yanis (the teller) that he needed a manager to process the payment and that he had the odometer statement with me as well. She told him that she could do it herself and did not need the odometer statement, and then she rushed him off. This seemed weird since over the phone, they had told us that the statement would be necessary, so he spoke to a banker as well. This banker told me the same information and ensured me that the payment will be processed overnight, without the odometer statement, but we should call the next day to confirm. Called the next day, and the check was processed as a payment, not a pay off for the lease. Now, he must wait over a month before this payment is processed as a pay off instead. A simple transaction went sour purely due to laziness and negligence. Bank elsewhere and save yourself the headache.
