  TCF Bank has been great for the last 10yrs for me, I wish they would continue to keep the name. The new name will be Huntington by the end of this year, they probably won't have the type of service that TCF had, I my choose to find another bank.

  Since at least June 9, 2021 TCF Bank (formerly Chemical Bank and now a part of Huntington Bank) has been aware of an error regarding a $310.88 check made payable to myself by Macomb County. The error is significant. It involves the fact that I did not sign or present the check to any bank for cashing. TCF is aware that this is a correct statement of fact because it has an image of the front and back of the check. Although TCF did begin a "fraud" investigation and I did sign an Affidavit, I still do not have my money. I keep being told by the TCF Bank's Assistant Manager in Mt. Clemens that the matter is pending with its fraud department. However, I have not heard from anyone in the fraud department and I have not been made whole by TCF simply doing a "chargeback" from the account in which the check was cashed. It is a simple matter and this should have been done by now. It looks like TCF is going to have to be sued in order for me to obtain my money. Although the TCF manager and assistant manager have been friendly and have made outward appearances of being customer service friendly, the fact remains I do not have my $310.88. I cannot recommend this entity to be used by people for transacting their banking needs.
