      I used Citizens bank for my primary checking account for 12 years when my account got hacked and emptied. I went to the Mayfield Heights location to try to get this resolved and asked for conditional credit while their corporate's fraud department was investigating. They did not provide conditional credit even though I told them most of my money was in that account (definitely learned my lesson there) and had no way of paying my bills until I had some of it back. They opened another (empty) account and suggested that I borrow money from friends or relatives. Wow! Citizens bank took the entire ten days allowed by law to conclude their "investigation" but eventually determined that my money was indeed fraudulently taken and credited all of it back. After the horrible and stressful experience of dealing with their customer service at both the branch and over the phone, I immediately withdrew most of the funds I got back and transferred to another bank. I eventually closed my account completely because Citizens bank just isn't worth it.
