  After being pre-approved and then later receiving a loan commitment with conditions for a home loan with CMG, they told me that my loan was denied based on an oversight on their behalf just one day before my closing was scheduled to happen. Apparently a previous application for a home loan with WellsFargo (for another property) was 'flagged in the FHA system for a denial based on my income' and that they wanted to see WellsFargo's calculations before they considered approving me. They asked for my contacts over at WellsFargo and reached out to them requesting their calculations to "make sure they weren't missing something" and WellsFargo declined to share their calculations with them. #1 I was told by several other reputable people in real estate that there is no such FHA system where this information is flagged and that CMG is lying to me. #2 I was told by several other reputable people in real estate that they never heard of any lenders requesting a previous lender's calculations to consider someone for a loan. #3 I now have lost my $10K deposit (the only extra money I had) due to their "oversight" since the contingencies which would have allowed me to get my deposit back had already expired. #4 After being told several times that my debt to income ratio was totally fine, my denial letter states that I was denied to do unverifiable information and my debt to income ratio. I don't understand what my application with WellsFargo had to do with them. I am in a totally different and better position than I was with the WellsFargo application I did 2 months ago. I put my trusted these people and at the last hour they let me down because of their negligence. I am extremely devastated by this experience and I urge everyone to beware.
