  I recently had a terrible experience with CMIC in regards to the professionalism of James Watts. He has HORRIBLE customer service and people skills. Will hound you down for an application but become unresponsive when you have questions or asking about progress of application. I asked him a question via text and he responds with a thumbs up but wants you to trust his judgement? PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS AND CONSIDER BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY. Would not recommend this company at all. Properties are priced high in extremely rough areas of DC whether gated or not.. a homeless person literally was waiting right outside of residential gate.

  I was unfortunate enough to work (or lack of) work with James Watts. I was in dire need of a new apartment and the communities they had listed I thoroughly enjoyed. I went to view one unit and thought it was an acceptable unit for my my potential room mate and I. This was the first time I met James, he seemed pleasurable and I thought he had a pretty nice personality...so I thought. My potential room mate and I went through the application process and returned the requested documents diligently. After that we never heard back from James, I would call him and it seemed like I was annoying him every time I called. He would reassure me that he would return my phone calls, which was a lie. This really did not sit well with me, because i'm still not sure what he did with this information. I think a simple courtesy call to let an individual know that they're not interested in moving forward with the renting process would have sufficed. People get denied everyday, that's something I could have definitely accepted. However, the mere fact that he had the gall to not only ignore my phone calls, but lie to me was just unacceptable and unprofessional. I needed to move ASAP and I expressed this interest to James, but yet he was lackadaisical about the situation. So, if you're interested in renting a property with CMIC and you're (un)lucky enough to receive James Watts to assist you, I would say tread with caution.
