We recently moved to Mayer, and needed a Notary so my husband called the local bank CorTrust. We asked them if one was available and if we could use their service despite not being a customer and they said absolutely and told us to come in. Once we arrive they asked if we banked with them, which we replied no, but we were told that it would be ok regardless over the phone. They then said “I don’t know who you spoke to but we won’t do that unless you’re a customer”. Then they suggested we open an account if we would like our ONE piece of paper notarized. We walked out. Mind you, this is a bank in a small town... No one else was in the bank. Absolutely terrible customer service. Go to the bank up the road called Security Bank & Trust. They did it for us with no hassle!!!
