  I am a member of another credit union, but routinely frequent this co-op branch to make deposits. The staff is always welcoming and generally helpful. My only criticism is that ever time I've been there is no more than two tellers and not uncommon at all for only one to be working. Regardless of the number of people in line, the teller(s) working move with little sense of urgency or concern for the time of others waiting. No matter how trivial the question, remark on the weather, observation regarding traffic on that particular day- whatever it is the tellers are always willing to indulge in conversation. But again, my experience is strictly dealing with co-op branch services, specifically making cash deposits. Based on the totality of my experiences I would seriously consider becoming a member if I decide to leave my current credit union and would recommend without reservations friends and family to do their banking with Credit Union of GA.

  5.20.2022-Update. I still appreciate the customer service folks, but deducting another star because the website is THAT BAD. 5.3.22-Update - Super nice people, terrible, terrible, terrible website. The last one was bad, but the newer one is SO MUCH worse (and has been from the start), I'm deducting 2 stars from my first review. Their website should not have the power to change the (correct) information I add to info (payment addresses) that is just wrong. This interferes with my ability to pay my bills on time. ESPECIALLY my mortgage. The people who manage the message box pretty much threw up their hands and said CUGA has no control over the people who manage the website. Then they gave me a phone number so I can waste more time complaining about something that's probably never going to get changed. *** CUGA was highly recommended to me by a colleague a few years ago. It took some time, but I finally decided I'd had enough of the "big bank" treatment, and wanted to make the change to CUGA. I also needed to secure a HELOC. Years of health issues and medical debt had taken a toll on my life savings and credit cards. Beth W. worked hard to help me get that loan, and my life has changed 100% for the better!!! In addition, getting in touch with a person is easy. The reps I've spoken to have been very friendly and show a genuine interest in helping. So far, either Beth or customer service has been able to give me the help I need as soon as I ask for it. I'll be a life-long customer, and I hope you decide to join, too!
