  Very disappointed in Cross Country Mortgage and Brian Beyers specially. In attempts to refinance, I provided full disclosure on a first time teacher's home buying program I participated in. I was reassured that I could refinance, paid for an appraisal, upgraded a membership status to reduce fees, and was encouraged not to pay my next two mortgage bills as Cross Country would wrap my next two payments into the refinance for "Covid Relief" (which I did not ask for). Lucky I did not take the advice of my loan officer and continued to make payments because it turned out Cross Country could not complete the refinance due to the teacher buying program. The loan officer should have provided this information up front before allowing me to spend money and even possibly miss mortgage payments that could have been devastating to my above average credit. After receiving this news, I never heard back from my loan officer again, despite many follow up emails and phone calls. I learned at least a $500 lesson but could have been much worse had I taken the advice of my loan officer and skipped my mortgage payments since Cross Country could not complete the job and then decided to ignore the client. I recommend going elsewhere and always be an advocate for yourself!
