  I’ve been a member at DATCU for more than 15 years and just wanted to leave a comment of my most recent experience, which was an auto refinance from another lender to DATCU. They have cut my interest rate by 75%, I was able to take almost 2 years off the amount of time I would be paying my loan and also saving about $200 a month! I was initially working with Haley, then I was helped by Adrian and finally closed this morning with Brandt and every single associate that worked with me was professional, courteous and more than happy to assist with the process. I feel so much better about the overall cost my loan will be and will have it paid in full so much faster. Thank you again to the team at DATCU for helping your members with what you do everyday!

  PLEASE READ. Do NOT do business with DATCU! THEY ARE SCAMMERS. They fail to inform you if you don’t have full coverage insurance they will charge you a “Collateral Protection Premium” OF ALMOST 4,000$! They literally will add it to your loan total and won’t even remove it once you get full coverage! By FORCE because it was “in the contract” as if anyone actually sits through and reads the contracts. OH and they try and make you pay it off in 12 months! Such a joke I should have stayed with capital one. I WILL BE REFINANCING WITH CAPITAL ONE IMMEDIATELY.

  I had never heard of this place before until I went through Ilending Guy to refinance an auto loan. At the beginning of the process I was sent some paperwork to review and fill out and the only information it gave me was the new lower interest rate and the new monthly payment amount which was going to save me about $40 a month. I have had my car for not quite three years and had paid it down substantially. I always made more than the actual payment amount because I rounded up to the next hundred. Never once in any of the paperwork did it explain to me that they were going to tack on another $4000 when I only owed $10,000 on my original note and the new financial institution was not only the inconvenience for me to drive to as I don’t live close to it but there are only a few branches and if I want to pay over the phone there’s a $10 fee! No I don’t know if DATCU Played any role in this other than to just agree to refinance however I have had the absolute worst refinance experience and I would never recommend going through a Ilending for anything! I do not bank at DATCU so I called to find out if there was a way to pay it online without having to pay a fee. The representative told me that there was but I had to go through a set up process which I did and come to find out there’s not a way for me to pay it unless I actually bank there! This took well over a month to process even though I was told it would only take a matter of days and then now I find out I’m paying $4000 more than what I originally owed and I don’t really even know what to say about this! Other than I am absolutely disgusted and second! And they’re not even open when it’s convenient for me to call somebody.
