      *** BUYERS BEWARE *** DHI Mortgage is by far the worst mortgage company I have ever worked with. Problems started at the top with branch manager, Courtney Johnson, and rolled down hill from there. Johnson does not return phone calls or emails in a timely manner, and when you are able to contact him, it seems like you’re a burden. Getting updates from him, Steve McBride, or any of their processors is a nightmare. It feels like Johnson and his team are just punching a time clock and do not care about the client. Anyone purchasing a home with DR Horton should use an outside lender.
