      How does Dime Bank let this happen ? I understand these are tough times, and people need somewhere warm, but c’mon. I have to walk my mom to the bank and make sure nothing happens to her. In today’s world with so much crime in our city. Several times I’ve come to withdrawl cash, and I run into this problem several times. My mom, me, and i’m sure other people don’t feel comfortable taking out money, especially if it’s an emergency in the evening. They need to do something about this, and not let this happen. Think about the safety of your customers.

      We recognize this is a problem and are working with authorities to handle this in a compassionate way. In addition, the Bank does contract with a 3rd party to periodically monitor the vestibule and remove such individuals but at any given point in time they may re-enter, making this an extremely difficult issue to resolve.
