  I've rented from Direct Express for 3 years now. They fix maintenance issues in a timely manner and never bother you unnecessarily. They are also fair with rent and fees and have been a pleasure to work with.

  I put a maintenance request in on December 20 for a simple rain gutter that is falling of building and needs replaced. Was told after 2 months of waiting it would be replaced, it’s been 3+ months and I’m still waiting. This company will lie to you, they’re slumlords. Update: it’s now been 6 months and still no replacement of rain gutter. Now the deck is moldy and is very slippery when wet and some of the boards have warped out of place.

  Good Afternoon, I'm sorry you feel this way about our company. As we have explained to you, we can only do repairs that are approved by the owner, and in a time we have our maintenance man available. When you submitted the request on 12/20/20, you let us know it was leaking onto the wooden deck, which was then showing signs of premature deterioration. We relayed this over to the owner, who responded the following morning. We requested photos of the issue from you on the same day, 12/22/20, due to our owners needing photos before approving any repair. The photos were sent to us on 1/1/21. We forwarded them to the owner to approve the replacement. They wanted them to be repaired, and we stated we would rather simply replace them to not have any more issues, and they agreed as of 01/04/21. Within the time frame of 1/4/21-2/1/21 we had emergencies that had to be dealt with immediately and our maintenance man was busy tending to those issues, which we explained to you when we spoke on the phone. You stated on 2/17/21 you would not be renewing your lease as it was ending soon, due to the rain gutter work request. On 02/18/21 you gave us your official notice to vacate the property. We apologized it had not been completed yet, but stated we do tend to emergencies before everything else, and as this was not an emergency it was pushed back. We spoke again regarding your lease and rain gutter on 3/26/21 as you wanted to revoke your notice to vacate five days before the expiration of your lease. We complied with this and stated we would still not be able to tend to the gutter until the end of April due to now the schedule of you moving had changed. We had other scheduled projects he was assigned to, as we were under the impression you would be moving out. The end of April is also when he will be out doing general maintenance across the entire property. You were aware of this and signed your new lease. We sent a message out 3/26/21 that we will have it scheduled with you at the end of April so you are aware when he will be there. It is unfortunate this interaction made you feel we deserve a 1-Star review with a small leak from a rain gutter on the exterior of the home.
