  Very shady company! Stay far, far away. One of the worst business I've had the displeasure working with in a very long time. I'd give less than one star if I could. Let me start by saying, what they tell you and what is reality are very different. They said there are no loan origination fees and that the fees will be paid by the lender... Not true. Brokers are supposed to shop for the best deal for the client... That didn't happen. In fact, an extremely high (over 2%) loan origination fee, where others only charge 1%. They very rarely answer the phone. They don't return messages. Don't leave a message on their voice mail because they don't check it. In fact, their voicemail didn't even work until I complained about it. They don't follow through with what they tell you they are going to do. The list goes on and on. They didn't order the appraisal until I called and called and called them. Did they ever call back... Nope, they sent an email to my wife. They have no clue what's going on with there own craft. i.e. the lender sends us paperwork with completely different numbers than what was discussed with Karen. I call and call and finally get ahold of her. She says she doesn't have the paperwork and asks me to scan it and email it to her. Karen said as soon as she gets the email she'll call me right back. I scan it and email it and no call for an hour. I call to make sure they received it and I get a very rude answer from Jim. He says they are working on the numbers and they'll call me back. 40 min later, no phone call but an email typed up with the same numbers from the lenders paperwork. Over $10,000 in closing cost for a $180,000 loan... I call again to discuss the numbers and Jim proceeded to yell at my wife and me. He said those loan origination fees were from locking in an interest rate for 45 days. However, when we talked with Karen she assured us SEVERAL times there were no fees for 30 or 45 days. Guess that wasn't true either... After getting yelled at by Jim, we're taking our business to a more reputable company. Absolutely shady and unacceptable business practices. Stay far, far away from Karen and Jim at Diversified!
