      I was told over the phone that I could come in to speak with someone about getting a mortgage and a pre-approval letter. I am in a bind and need to move quickly and I was hoping to at least know I could move forward and start my house hunting. I went to the bank with all the information needed but was told “there must have been a misunderstanding” and was handed a sheet listing what I needed for pre approval and a mortgage application...I would have driven to any of their locations to speak with someone or I would have made other arrangements. They wasted my time during a very stressful situation. I want to deal locally with people I could talk to. I will do business elsewhere and hopefully I can save someone the trouble of dealing with a bank that makes a terrible first impression.
