  The last year everyone had to make adjustments for the pandemic, we’ve all certainly had to change our normal daily habits and practices. The lobby was not open for months, so I’d normally get a cashiers check/etc through the drive-thru. I had no issues with the practices implemented to keep our community safe. Today I was told I needed to come inside and “I don’t know when you were here last time, but we’re enforcing rules now and you have to come in.” If it had been said more politely, I might not be writing my first Google review, but her tone was very unpleasant. Today, the mayor of Dalton issued a state of emergency. As an ER nurse, I know the toll this is taking in the hospitals. I expressed I didn’t think it was safe for me to go inside, in response I was told to come in or not receive service. So I went in and found only one person wearing a mask. During a state of emergency in a pandemic. Two employees were standing there and had the employee from the drive thru come to me, which it was apparent she was not pleased about. From the military to the ER, I generally can tolerate a lot. Today was disappointing and unsafe.

  It was one of the only banks in town that had a lobby open, not just a drive-thru only. Employees were very friendly and helpful. While it did take me a few minutes longer to take care of the business I had with them, it was still a great overall experience. This is a great local bank to do business with.
