  If you are a small business owner and have business bank accounts with the First Business Bank (formerly known as Alterra Bank) in Leawood be prepared for absolutely no customer service and a new incompetent corporate structure that could care less about keeping clients. For years I’ve held all my escrow accounts with this bank because of their exceptional customer service. Now that they’ve been bought out I don’t think I’ve ever been more frustrated for an entire week only to be told by a rep that my issue is “out of their hands”. I now will have to spend the time and resources moving banks. What a waste. #byefelicia

  There are not enough characters available nor enough time to describe what an utter and complete failure this bank has become to an almost 25 year business client. Long-term personal bankers have left, software was a disaster before it became worse, phone apps do not function, closed locations, no night drop, closed on the weekends.... And that's in exchange for a client who has NEVER bounced a check, maintained four and five figure collected balances, and done exactly what was expected of me. .It has taken some effort but they've finally managed to run me off. This bank exists solely for their profit, benefit and convenience.... not yours.
