      I really appreciate the First Creek team for being professional and helpful throughout the whole loan process. They are patient with borrowers and quick to answer any questions you have.

      They're nice enough but they will give you false hope, lead you down paths that end in you getting denied. A lender is only as good as they're underwriters and their underwriters are determined to not give you a loan. I have over 800 credit and plenty of money but they denied me bc of some irrelevant issue with another property I own.

      While I appreciate that a lot goes into applying for & approving a mortgage. That doesn't excuse the way we were treated by our loan originator, Mr. Jennings. He was unprofessional, condescending, and at one point joked about me killing myself due to a misunderstanding on his end. (I would expect a loan originator to understand that some financial institutions don't send over the account holder's bank account number when doing a wire transfer for privacy reasons. I worked at a credit union for only a year, and understood that.) While going through the loan process it felt like the finish line was constantly being moved forward, and that we were never going to successfully finish the process. I was so miserable & anxious throughout, and I can't help but wonder if we had a more kind and understanding person helping us if it would have made the process more bearable. I'm appreciative that everything eventually worked out & we were able to close on the house. Therefore, I am not rating this organization as lowly as I could. However, I would not recommend the experience with First Creek Lending to anyone.
