  I was with another lender who was dragging their feet big time; trying to get a construction to perm loan. I called Ruairi Songer who immediately got the ball rolling and I was able to get more accomplished in two days with him than I was with the other lender in two months. I hope First Federal knows what an asset they have in Ruairi. He was also able to coordinate everything with the builder and kept checking in to make sure things were going smoothly but also timely. If you are looking for friendly service and up front professional service and great rates then call Ruairi at First Federal. I'd give seven stars if i could. Update to my original review. A few more shout outs to Dina & Alyssa who assisted Ruairi in processing my loan along with the entire FFB team. The amount of attention I got was unbelievable and the level of professionalism exceeded my expectations beyond my comprehension or what I can articulate in words. These folks are amazing and I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed. I close on my loan in few days and the process was as incredible as it could possibly be. I'll be back for any banking needs in the future once I get over this current hurdle of building a house. Thanks again FFB for treating me more like family instead of just a customer. :-)

  Worst experience, never will use this bank again. So bad, after getting a home mortgage, we immediately refinanced with another bank. Won't give this bank another penny or the time of day. They do not honor their word, nor their contracts. Our first loan officer was fired, the next loan officer restarted the entire process causing weeks of delay and resubmittal of all the documents. That went to review, then more documents needed, then review, then more documents needed, and two more times. Got the clear to close, on closing day, the bank called and said we can't close. Finally closed two weeks later after more documents again causing problems with the sellers, moving companies, attorneys. The bank didn't care, and didn't honor their commitments, but we had to.

  Pick anywhere but here, “the worst closing experience ever”. You will send them the same docs over and over and over again. We previously used Farm Credit and it was amazing, i am so sorry we used FSB. What was promised in 30 days, turned into 60+ days and multiple emails back and forth with execs. The ONLY way to get something done, is to go up the ladder.
