  Applied for business checking account online. Gave all necessary information. All my paperwork is legitimate. They still denied me a checking account and when I called I was told that they "couldn't verify all information" on the application and there is "nothing they can do." Very shady business practices and I have a feeling my ethnicity played a role in the denial. Most legitimate institutions would ask for additional specific documentation if they couldn't verify something not say theres nothing we can do. Then I asked about my deposit and they quickly stated "it never got ran" and ended the phone call. Looks like I dodged a bullet working with this Bank.

  I was so pleased with every interaction at the branch I originally opened my account with. The manager & staff were professional, welcoming & served with integrity & excellence! Eventually, that branch was closed (due to #s). I was referred to Iberia by another microbusiness. The people were the reason I switched in the first place! My first discrepancy is their flawed online banking system/ app. I have often relied in instant deposit from my merchant services to be able to make essential purchases. Although Iberia's system instantly reflects the transfer AND does NOT allow you to transfer funds above what is available in your account, I repeatedly recieved overdraft fees for those very transfers. My first experience with the branch manager, Ms. Elena Bass, was dismissive, frustrating & belittling. She was both incapable of allowing me to fully explain the issue without interrupting as well as refused to consider the fact that she could be & was incorrect. She was extremely rude & disrespectful. Although Larci, supervisor @ the customer service center, agreed that there was a system issue, no action was taken to further address or correct the problem (in fact she never called back as promised). I would be remiss if I did not admit that the Himes location, while much more inconvenient, has the same professional, helpful & friendly ambiance as the branch I originally used for my banking services.
