      Do not bank here if you work for tips and make cash deposits. I had been banking with First Interstate for 4 years and also did our business banking with them, consistently making cash deposits and answering all questions appropriately. I received a letter in the mail notifying me that my accounts would be closed in a month with no explanation but a pamphlet filled with legal jargon that is almost undecipherable to real people. I called the phone number on the letter and it went to voicemail. I called two local branches with no answer before talking to someone who directed me to another phone number that led me to a directory that wasn't relevant to my query. First Interstate can't give me a call and tell me why they're closing my accounts or give me a clear explanation in their letter after four years? Local bank for Montanans? Not a chance.

      Just started my business with First Interstate Bank. So far a great experience. I also have to say their phone app is great, it's intuitive and highly functional. Hoping for a great long term relationship with these guys.
