  We used Chris at 5 star for the purchase of our home. He was phenomenal and helped keep everything going, as we had a lot of issues with the sellers. Needless to say, he gained our trust. Since then, him and this company have been so horrible I will never use them again. For starters, he called us to do a streamline refinance on our home.(this process took about 3 months and me calling every week for almost 2 months, as he never updated me. Not until I finally told his assistant that we would be using someone else if we didn’t hear back) I specifically asked him about our mortgage insurance and if it would drop off still in a year or so. He told me when the time came he would take care of it and we would save so much money if we did this now. I learned after it was too late that “taking care of it” means he will refinance our home AGAIN. Costing us thousands of dollars in closing costs between the two refinances, and paying him a lump sum, when we should’ve just waited another year and done it once. Sure, we saved $100/month for 12 months, but it will cost us at least $12k now that we have to do it twice. DONT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE AN FHA LOAN NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU. The kicker is before we knew any better, we wanted to use him to refinance a family members home which was already paid off. It was a simple and easy loan. Him and his assistant Oz kept telling me they were so busy and would get back to me when they can. I tried calling them for weeks, asking for and waiting for an email that they said they sent but never did. It’s been 4 months and we have now closed with someone else. They are crooks, save your money and time and go somewhere else.
