  Danger!!! Without exaggerating, working with Freedom Mortgage was the worst customer service experience of my life. Thanks to their shocking incompetence, they were never able to finish my refinance application. Weeks and weeks of phone calls and their constant mistakes and confusion. They are a plague and should be avoided as such. Just look at all the complaints on BBB. While I was wasting my time with Freedom Mortgage, refinance rates went up and I lost out on tens of thousands of dollars in savings. I hope they are exposed.

  BEWARE of this mortgage company! I have had nothing but issues for the last 4 years. Its been over 2 months and I'm still waiting on a supervisor to call me back. I have called several times in the last two months. First call went great, was told I had a escrow shortage the amount I needed to have it my account was 350 and I had 1600 and both peoople agreed there is more than enough in my escorw and a new anaysis needs to be done and will be done in the next couple days. Never heard back so I gave it a week or so and called back. I was then advised there is a shortage and I need to have at least 350 in my escrow account and there is 1600 and that is less than 350. I was unsure on this answer so I asked the gal so you are telling me 350 is a bigger number than 1600 and she said yes. So I asked to be transferred to a supervisor he again tried to tell me the same thing and then changed what he said. I asked how could there be a shortage? He said well with your taxes, insurance it needs to be at least 2200 to cover next year. I explained when the math is broke down on by next July 2022 there will be around 4400 in that account so how is that short. He said well we need to cover the current year and next year. I asked about the prior reps I spoke to and they had agreed it was a overage not a shortage and was told they were wrong and they will not do a new analysis and correct this. He then hung up on me. Over the last several years, I dont get call backs like I'm advised, told wrong information, and have been hung up on more than once. Very unprofessional and rude. When I had previously said I would look for a differnet mortgage company I was told go ahead we dont care. Beware of this mortgage company. If this statement above was true on "Close out your summer with savings" I wouldn't be paying extra for a shortage that doesn't exist. This happened last year as well. I paid the home insurance myself after I was advised by freedom mortgage I could and it would lower my payment and they wouldn't charge me escrow for it and guess what they did! When I asked for the money back since there will be a overage in escrow they said I had to wait until 2021 to get it back well here we are and now I am told there is a shortgage. Cant this fall under tax fraud since I have to report everything to the IRS each year?
