My loan was transferred to Freedom Mortgage and they have been extremely difficult to contact. They have 2 ways of contacting them. Either through the message center, which takes at least 24 hours to get a response. When you try to reply to their message, it's as if someone entirely new responds because they will simply repeat the same message in response. The other option is a phonecall. While they answer quickly when you finally get through all of prompts, they push you to use the message center and don't actually answer any questions. Also at the end of the phonecall, they push their other products on you.

I paid off my loan on December 31, 2021 and this lender is reporting me late to credit bureaus because their system takes 15 to 30 days to realize the change! What kind of business is that? Totally unprofessional and unacceptable, but what can I do at this point?! I've wasted hours and hours with them on hold and talking to completely unknowlegeable representatives of the company, to reach nothing! No resolution.. I paid off my loan plus all the BS charges they added to my payoff amount and in return they are hurting my credit badly.

Loan was bought by Freedom sometime in between late 2019 early 2020. Everything was going great until about April 2021. I started receiving calls regarding rate reduction. At first my husband and I were on board until we decided to explore refinancing options. Although I have continuously advised we do not want to do the rate reduction, I still receive calls from different representatives at least once or twice a day. I've worked in customer service so I understand sales quotas and required measures but if the customer states they are not interested, the calls should stop. The time I had to contact customer service was pleasant. I would have given them a 5 if it was not for the recent harassment calls.
