      Fresh Lending I had a very bad experience using this lender to purchase a house. What should have taken no more than 3 months ended up dragging on for more than 5 (we ended up closing the deal without the lender). As it was our first time purchasing a property, naturally we didn't quite understand every detail of the process. Unfortunately, the lender didn't feel like explaining anything. Whenever we sent an e-mail or a text (not once has the lender picked up the phone when we tried calling, despite numerous attempts) we would receive a response completely unrelated to what we asked about. This lender was recommended by another lender, and we ended up having to communicate either through our own agent, or the lender who recommended Fresh Lending. This created a situation where we were kept in the dark, it dragged on for more than 4 months, and we ended up finding the funds by ourselves in order not to lose the property, as the seller was getting anxious and we couldn't give them a clear answer due to lack of communication from the lender. After closing on our own, without using the lender, none of the fees were refunded to us. The fees were already exorbitant compared to the local market. Two weeks after the deal was done, the lender contacted us, completely oblivious, asking whether we'd like him to continue his work. We explained that the deal was already done, and once again asked for a refund on the fees, upon which he showed attitude and said that the fees were due to the appraisal (which ended up taking longer than supposed to as well). After asking him to send us the receipt for the appraisal, we never heard from him again. I would highly suggest NOT to use this lender, and if you value your time and money--to find someone else.
