  I am under 35 and have paid off all student loans and a quarter million dollar mortgage on a state government salary, but re-financing with Guild was the biggest financial mistake I have made. Getting the loan was quick, easy and entirely painless and I cannot say a single poor thing about that, nor the local Columbia office. However once you sign the papers the customer service is completely gone. I have spent the last 6 months arguing and calling, weekly, to get my payment checks placed in my account correctly. The customer service representatives all know me, and now does some of the management as this was escalated. I encourage anyone with them to track every payment and how it should affect the remaining balance and amount paid so far. If I had not tracked this myself, I would be paying a lot extra for no reason.
