      My husband and I began our process of owning a home with Guild Mortgage. We had a pre approval and started shopping, when our renewal came up, our broker had left Guild and we decided to go with the other broker there. BIGGEST MISTAKE! We got a pre approval for $40,000 less than the original 🚩 red flag but we found our house, put in an offer, and spent 5 weeks waiting for anything. NOTHING! Our realtor and ourselves were calling, emailing, and messaging Lisa Webb and the branch supervisor Rosa, trying to figure out where we stood, what the hold up was, and why the appraisal had not been ordered. When our contract was near expiration, we contacted the branch manager again and were promised a call back in 15 minutes from Rosa. We never received a call from Lisa or Rosa. Instead we received an email that was sent to the SELLER’S REALTOR and we were cc’d with our denial. The BIG KICKER- another mortgage company accomplished full closing in 10 DAYS, what Lisa couldn’t in a month and a half. We were able to avoid a contract renewal and us possibly losing our home. I feel that Lisa Webb was not willing to work with us, or look at the best options for us. We have been sad to hear that others had the same experience.
