  I received a notice in the mail that my loan has already been sold to a 3rd party. I never even had time to make a payment to RMS before they sold the loan to another company. Looks like my new loan is with Lakeview Loan Servicing and will be serviced by LoanCare LLC on their behalf. I looked up some reviews online, and people have horrible experiences with both of them. I had multiple Banks and mortgage service companies I could have obtained my mortgage from. I went with RMS due to my real estate agent's suggestion. Now I feel like this has been a bait and switch, and I will have to deal with a horrible loan servicing company because I chose RMS. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid RMS in the future.

  I spoke to an RMS representative about purchasing an investment property. I was told that I needed 25% down and the interest rate would be about 4.25% with our near perfect credit score. Pleased with the terms, I started the process. We had agreed to a price plus $5,000 back from the seller. We were told by RMS that they limit the amount back to 2% of the purchase price which would be $3150. I spoke to the agent again and was told to not worry because they would work it into the price somehow. Two weeks later we were told that they were close to locking in the rate which would be about 4.5% now. We were ready to close 2 weeks after that and received a letter that we were locked in at 4.875% plus we needed the $1,850 difference because of the 2% limit. We called RMS again and they said they would cover the $1,850 if we locked in at 5.125%. At this point, we’re a week from closing and our inspection costs and deposit are gone. We reluctantly signed the paperwork and after one month, RMS sold our mortgage to another company
