  Rick Slaughter and Brittany Bottles at Guild Mortgage were incredible. They helped us understand the financing aspect of mortgages (aka 'PITI'), educated us along the process, were honest and didn't 'sell' us. Thanks for dealing with these first time home buyers delicately!

  We worked with Rick Slaughter, Marcell and Brittany at Guild Mortgage when my husband and I purchased our first home in July 2021. We were so impressed with their professionalism and patience with us being first time home buyers. We needed some hand-holding through the entire process and they were excellent to work with. They helped us each step of the way, patiently explaining things in layman’s terms. We went to them almost a year before we were ready to buy and they helped us identify a plan to be set up for success when the time came to purchase. We are so grateful we went to them early!! It honestly gave us so much confidence going into the home buying process. We were buying a home in the middle of summer during one of the most competitive sellers markets in history and we came out of it with our first home on our second offer. We actually called them the dream team because they really were a dream to work with. They care about getting you into your home and making the process easy and enjoyable. And they’re amazing people in general. Stop looking for a lender and work with Rick and his team at Guild!

  I've been working with Rick and his team since 2018 for mortgage lending and refinances. Rick and his team have continually impressed me and always seem to go above and beyond the call of duty for their customers. At one point during a refinance I ended up in a time-crunch with getting documents notarized and I thought the entire refinance would fall apart. I reached out to Rick very late in the night when all of this came to fruition (I was unable to respond to emails during my long shift at work), and Rick called me first thing in the morning before he even left for the office. Not only did he get back to me as fast as feasibly possible, he explained everything about the situation to me in a way that I could understand. From there, Rick took care of business and rearranged timelines for everything that was potentially going to cause issue for my convoluted work schedule. Any time I've ever had questions or concerns, Rick and his team are prompt with their responses and always seem happy to help. Brittany and Marcell have been wonderful in all their communications and services with me, so shout out to them too! I can't recommend Rick and his team enough - the team has made life good for me, and made every mortgage/refinance as easy and smooth as possible with a minimal amount of work on my end. 12/10 stars - would do business with Rick and his team again!!
