Worst customer service of any credit union period! When attempting to get service, I am talked to like a poor performing employee waiting to hear "you're fired!" I think this credit union has forgotten to teach its employees that keeping customers will keep them paid. This place is supposed to work for me, not the other way around. I have called multiple times to gain assistance with GAP insurance claims process and repeatedly told they will not do it, it's the dealerships responsibility. The dealership says the GAP coverage and contract is for, and given to, HAPO. Back and forth! I specifically asked to be contacted by a person who is knowledgeable, to point me in the right direction, but instead of getting a call, I am told it is too easy for me to call them. I was also repeatedly told it was a simple process to file the GAP claim, yet no one would fill me in on this simple process. It's simple, yet HAPO will not do it, or tell you how it's done. "Go through the dealership." Dealership says "go through the leinholder." Both of them are sorry businesses. Once they get paid, you get no service! I went with HAPO because they gave me a little better interest rate. A little higher rate is worth it for me to stay loyal to my long-time credit union. I regret using HAPO and will close my accounts. I will never recommend their services (and piss poor customer service) to anyone!
