  You need to pack a lunch when you go to this branch because you are going to be there a while. The service couldn't get any slower.

  0 stars! Awful experience. Husband and I went in yesterday to try to open an account for our financial stuff. First of all, We were not greeted at all. We sat down and were sitting in the waiting area for quite a little bit to be helped before this other guy came and sat down. Then when someone came out and said “I can help the next person” my husband and I stood up to go back and then the teller at the counter was like “they’re not next, it was supposed to be the gentleman sitting right there.” But we were sitting there long before he ever came to sit down over there. He had previously been in line for the counter for something else. But we just wanted to open an account and were in the waiting area long before him. We waited a long time before that happened too and not even so much as a “Hello” or “someone will be with you shortly” or anything. So we just left because we got skipped over and were waiting so long, and we felt very unwelcome. We just decided to go to Amarillo National which is where we both have our personal accounts. Much friendlier and more helpful atmosphere! We were warmly greeted there as soon as we walked in and were helped right away by someone. I’d advise anyone looking for a new bank to skip Happy State and go to Amarillo National! Also, if you need to call Happy State for anything be prepared to not be able to call any actual bank campus itself and have to go through a line for all of them where you have to wait forever with like 60+ callers in the queue ahead of you before you can talk to anybody. I know this because I was trying to call before we went to make sure we didn’t need anything other than our IDs to open an account. With Amarillo National, you can call any individual building and talk to someone straight away
