The worst experience of my life was due to this mortgage company. Stay away! After my home being under contract for 2 months and 1 week away from closing Schaefer denies our buyers financing. I understand this happens but the timing of everything with Schaefer through the entire process was awful...the drag there feet on everything! The funny thing was they told us the day after we were supposed to close that the deal was not happening---after they had us sign an extension...little shady to me! Lost my deposit... They dragged there feet on everything!! Appraisal, approval, and there pre-approval status is BS!! They left my family, the buyers, the folks we were buying our new home from, and all the realtors involved in quite a bind!! One realtor told us this was the second time they were burnt buy Schaefer.
