  Harold "Buddy" Hartmann has been doing my tax return for over 15 years. I am a professional equities trader and Buddy specializes in trader taxation. Buddy has saved me a great deal of time and money over the years. I have worked with 100s of active traders over my career and I refer all of them to Buddy for tax help because of his thorough understanding of trader taxation. But whether you are an active trader or not I would refer anyone who runs a small business or just needs a simple tax return as well because Buddy knows his stuff. I am sure there are alot of CPAs to choose from but if you are an active trader Buddy is a the CPA you should be working with. He's the best in the space. I have also gotten to know Buddy quite well on a personal level over the years. He is an extremely honest and forthcoming individual, family man, and devotes alot of his time and money for charities he cares about, for which I have the utmost respect.

  Please be very careful in hiring Harold "buddy" Hartmann for CPA services. I found him on the web and all his credentials led me to believe he had a strong business and following. I met with Harold Hartmann in February of 2012 to have him compile a Schedule D for my taxes. Upon our initial meeting, he stated it should not take more than 1 hour to compile the information. He contacted me on April 14th 2012 stating that he could not do it in time and I must file an extension for my tax return. I have contacted his office and his assistant Tara Gooley to find out if they could finish my Schedule D. It still had not been completed as of June, July and August 2012. We are now into September, 8 months after I hired him and no call backs or return emails of any kind. This is all very alarming as he currently has all my stock account information and passwords and refuses to return them. Think twice before hiring him as a tax consultant.
