I have been a member of HLEFCU for about 10 years now and within 4 years we actually moved away to North Carolina. We actually decided to stay with HLEFCU anticipating that we would be returning in the near future back to Hawaii. We've bought two homes since being here and with our sister branches here in NC we've had no problems. There have been a few times that I've had to coordinate with the main office and they have been such a great support and wonderful people to work with. Overall, we've had great experiences with HLEFCU.

On July 1st 2021 unbeknownst to me or my husband after checking my checking acct, noticed there was a transaction made that neither of us requested. I immediately called HLEFCU and the person on the other end of the phone had graciously guided me through the steps that needed to be taken. I'm so grateful to her which by the way her name is Jeanette Person. Jeanette was very patient with me and probably had to repeat herself many times over(thank you Jeanette)but nevertheless with her help I was able to get the ball rolling and 5 days later the transaction had been canceled and funds returned to my account. 8 days later I got to put a face to the voice I've been communicating with for 2 days straight.
