      These people insist that you give them $42. to pay for credit report before they even give you the disclosures. I have never in my over than 12 mortgages ever been asked to pay fees before getting the disclosure. Why would I pay them anything till I see their deal and know I want to go forward with them? Sadly I was happy with them and was going to use them to do 2 mortgages. I likely would of used them repeatedly (if their disclosure statements were acceptable). Poor business practice. I would of happily paid for credit report as part of closing as is the common practice.

      As a Florida Mortgage Brokerage, we take great measures to make sure all our consumers are properly cared for. We believe a consumer should not be overcharged or charged a fee that is used to offset the cost from those that failed to close their transactions. We have no underwriting, administration or processing fees in order to keep with our philosophy of keeping cost down. We simply ask our consumers to pay our credit vendor directly for their credit report and the same with the appraisal order. Our exception to this is VA which is a requirement of the Veterans Administration. Unfortunately for Gene, he never really started the process and had a chance to experience our services.
