      We went in to look at buying two houses either with Towne or another nearby builder. Instead of politely explaining the content and implications of the COVID-related forms she would have us each sign, the sales rep (Laura Pope) became beyond hostile and bordering verbally abusive when we asked about the content of these. Before we’d had the chance to read it or her bother explaining them, to paraphrase, “... sign the * forms or get the * out...”. With my 3yo nephew with us, we immediately left. No one should be treated to such abuse, never mind around children.

      Homes by Towne has been in business for over 70 years because we care about our customers, especially now as we are in the midst of a global pandemic. The form you referenced is mandated by the CA Association of Realtors to protect not only our buyers, but also our sales agent by acknowledging the risks associated with viewing a property. As a company we are obligated to have people sign, this is not Laura’s decision, but it does fall upon her shoulders to make sure people comply so we can continue to operate our business. Hostile and abusive are not words we have ever had associated with our sales agent, nor are they traits that we as a company tolerate. We sincerely wish you the best in your new home search.
