  I was in 5-days into escrow, and thought that I had my financing lined up, but when my original broker came back with a ridiculous interest rate, even higher fees, and a “That’s the way it is now….”attitude. After six months of looking, I felt my dream house slipping away. I almost gave up, but I decided to double-down, and find another loan. My real estate agent recommend Tony Szymczak at Hop Mortgage, and I am so grateful that she did! From the start, Tony assured me that he would find a loan for me within the timeframe I needed (in fact, we closed early!). Tony and his associates were available, responsive, and made sure I got everything in and done. As diligence progressed, I was able to change the terms of my loan, and I ended up with a hugely better mortgage than my original “take it or leave it…” broker. Most importantly, as a woman buying a home, I’ve run into more than my fair share of men (and a few women I’m sorry to say), who felt it was their role to provide “feedback” (mansplain) to me on my finances, my decisions, and my goals. Tony never intruded, never spoke down to me, never patronized me, and always respected my thoughts and decisions. I’m confident that if you were to choose Tony Szymczak as your mortgage broker, you would be in the best of hands. I could not recommend him more highly.

  Tony worked fast, did an in-depth review with me, and took extra time and steps to assist me in getting the best rate for a refinance loan to convert one property into a rental and also a new purchase loan. He reviewed hundreds of pages of HOA docs.s to make the loan process smoother and to look for any flags. He was available on short notice, patient with my abundant questions, very amiable and an absolute joy to work with. I won't hesitate to work with him again and highly recommend him.
