Non-functional online banking, "misplaced" cash deposits, rejected funds transfers This is by far the worst bank I have ever held an account at. First off their "online banking" is unavailable at least half the time. The mobile version of their site hasn't worked once in the last four days. Their "banking app" they used to brag about "isn't supported by my phone" as of its most recent update which is the first and only time I have seen that error message. Early fall of 2021 I made a cash deposit of $300-$400 dollars and the next day about 9am after loading 20 cinder blocks and a lumber cart and waiting in line at Home Depot my debit card gets repeatedly declined. I pull the hundreds of pounds of items off to the side and check the app (the app i used to be able to use) and the cash deposit I made is gone...no evidence it ever existed. I call the bank and someone basically says "oh yeah we had a problem and we lost a bunch of deposits were gonna fix it". I explained that "gonna fix it" is not an appropriate solution or response and that i need my money now. After a half hour the bank gets the money to appear on my app I go back into home depot retrieve my carts get in line...........card declined. I call the bank back and they honestly seemed shocked that I wanted the balance to be available, not just visible on my balance sheet. Just after midnight about a week ago I transferred $150 to my Jersey State Bank account from the doordash driver app. I go to check my balance on their site and of course its the daily "technical difficulties go away" error message. I check my emails for a failed transfer notification, I dont have one so I make my way to the gas station and try to pump gas....card declined. I go home and go to bed and plan to wake up bright and early, before Jersey State Bank gets its 9:00AM technical difficulties. Turns out the deposit went through, and then was rejected by JSB, sent back to the sender which caused an error on their end which I had to wait another 36 hours to be corrected. I called the bank and they said they were "down for maintenance" late last night so apparently that means "completely nonfunctional as a banking institution" as they were rejecting electronic funds transfers. This error cost me two full days of work because I ran my tank down past E assuming id be able to deposit money and use my debit card, and the rejection of my funds transfer was so unheard of doordash took nearly a day to fix the mess on their end. They've proven to be completely unreliable and now I have a little doubt every time i pull out my debit card if today is going to be the third time in eight months my money has temporarily vanished. Oh and they also sit on Disabled Veteran pension checks until the last legal possible minute, pretending checks from the US treasury may not clear. Any normal bank and all banks ive dealt with in the past makes the funds available immediately because they know that US treasury checks never bounce, but at JSB they treat federal deposits with the same scrutiny as hand written birthday checks from grandma. Going to be cutting all ties with JSB within 24 hours.

Mr. Harper, I am sorry that you feel you've had issues with your bank account. We are aware that our Online Banking & Mobile app are not always working. This is an issue that we have addressed with our 3rd party software provider and they hope to have it resolved soon. Federal funds directly deposited into your account are available on the settlement date that the Federal entity instructs us. We cannot release funds before that date.
