This review is truly long over-due and well earned. We had- and continue to have a great experience and relationship with Gateway Mortgage; specifically, Kris Hogrefe. From our first interaction with Kris, we were pleased. Kris went above and beyond from day one. He did a phenomenal job and let me tell you, it's not just talk with no substance, he put his money where his mouth is (so to speak) and worked really hard to get the job done, and it was no easy task with our big move and all the contingencies on every side. We were moving out of state (across the country) so it was a very big deal and very stressful for us. When we found our home in Tennessee before we were "ready" to sell in California, he helped us navigate both sides of the sale of our home and buying. We had a VERY short escrow so he had his work cut out for him but he did it all so seamlessly and promptly and he did not make us feel like we were anything but his only client. His care and service really blew me away. He answered our calls, texts and (probably) over-the-top questions at all hours. He was completely transparent, open and pretty much amazing throughout the whole process. He even helped us get Homeowner Insurance quotes on our new home just so we'd be completely aware of all costs associated with buying our new home. Without him, I am convinced we would not be in our paradise here in Tennessee. Kris truly makes you feel like you're the most important person he is working for and we feel fortunate to have been introduced to him. This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Cameron, Kris' assistant. She was a true gem and invaluable to us, especially toward the end and on the day of closing. When I say they went above and beyond, I truly mean it. They are a dynamic team and you'd be lucky to have them working so diligently for you as they did for us. I'd recommend him to any family or friend who is in need.
