  We deposit a check and we start to use the money and after two weeks the bank is saying it’s not valid , and they started to withdraw the money , that tells me that this bank is not professional and working on a very old system

  Hi Mohamed, we are sorry to hear about your experience at our Cerritos branch. Our employees are trained to monitor Members’ accounts for suspicious activity and verify the validity of checks using several systems. Federal law requires financial institutions to make deposited funds available to Members, usually within 1 to 5 business days. While you can withdraw cash from your account soon after depositing a check, that doesn’t mean it will be paid by the maker’s bank. Counterfeit checks and money orders can take weeks to be discovered and returned to your financial institution unpaid.   Always very friendly excellent customer service and better rates across the board for every thing! The interest earned here on our small savings is so much more than regular banks. I'm not an expert at math, but here I earn way more than the penny I earn at the big popular bank. I keep the big bank for the locations that they have everywhere. The one thing not offered here at the CU is a business account.
